One of the best things about makeup is that there are no real rules when it comes to how to use products—lipstick can be used as color corrector, eyebrow pomade can be used as gel eyeliner, and glitter can be used for everything on a daily basis. There are no limits to your creativity, and you might find that some products work better for you in a different way than their intended purpose.

In the tutorial below, YouTuber easyNeon finds a new function for her liquid Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector. For those of you who are unfamiliar, this product is a liquid highlight designed to give the skin a dewy glow. It can be applied to specific areas like the tops of the cheekbones for more targeted highlighting and it can even be mixed in with moisturizer or foundation for an all-over radiant effect. But, by applying it as an eyeshadow base for her smokey eye, not only is she giving the pigment (Makeup Geek's Utopia) a tacky surface to which it can adhere, but also it gives the sparkle a bit of a boost. Let us know what you think in the comments, and don't forget to follow @firstblushmag on Instagram! If you have any other alternative uses for products, we'd love to hear them.
